The Burra Burra Copper-mining Company, No Liability,
Mount Boppy, week ended June 23.-Contractors making
good progress with sinking main shaft. The hard bar, or
boree, mentioned in last report, has been passed through,
and sinking is now in softer country. Water not making
so fast since getting below the hard mark of stone, and can
easily be kept down with the machinery. The chairman of
directors, Mr. John Bailey, visited tim mine on Monday
last with a view of expediting the work of sinking, and
arranged to have it done by contract.
