The Fire on a Train,
A PECULIAR CLUE.
COBAR, Thursday.— Inquiries instituted at
Mount Boppy concerning the cause of the fire on
a mail train near Nyngan on Tuesday, by which
three trucks of wool were destroyed, have elicited
the information that a young man, a stranger in
the district, expressed his intention to the carrier
who loaded the wool truck at Mount Boppy of
stowing away on the truck. He disappeared
from the vicinity on Monday night, but the
description of the swag: carried by him
corresponds with that discovered in the burning
trucks.
